Justice for Families - Launch of Angela Cannings Foundation

Justice for Families - Launch of Angela Cannings Foundation
The above is a photograph of the participants in the Justice for Families Parliamentary Lobby this morning.

This is the first parliamentary lobby from Justice for Families. Chaired by John Hemming MP and with Bill Bache as Legal Advisor Justice for Families is campaigning for “justice for families”.

The word “family” indicates that this means campaigning for justice children, parents and grandparents. We will be looking at issues from the children’s perspective, the parents’ perspective and the wider families’ perspective.

This lobby looks specifically at the issue of miscarriages of justice in the criminal courts, but also at secrecy in the Family Courts. The Angela Cannings Foundation will also be launched at this event. The Angela Cannings Foundation has been set up to support and assist parents/carers who have been falsely accused of killing or harming their children. It will be run by people who have suffered at the hands of the system.

The following further seven Justice for Families lobbies are being worked on at the moment:

Children in Care are not necessarily Safe – why are some allowed to be prostitutes, but not cook toast for each other. The views of children who have been in care.

Why is there so little action to deal with perjury in the Family Courts? - we are expecting a book launch at this event. The views of those people who have been in the courts.

Dr David Southall – his work and how his treatment of children and parents has been covered up. The views of his victims: children and parents.

Forced Adoption and Adoption Targets – stories from children who were wrongly adopted and their birth and adoptive families damaged by the system.

Is Social Work now Baby Broking – the views of social workers.

Grandparents and the System – the views of grandparents

Why do the doctors get it wrong in court so often and are they paid more to get it wrong than if they got it right – the views of doctors

Its the long genes that stop working

People who read my blog will be aware that I have for some time argued that most (if not all) diseases of aging are caused by cells not being able to produce enough of the right proteins. What happens is that certain genes stop functioning because of a metabolic imbalance. I was, however, mystified as to why it was always particular genes that stopped working. Recently, however, there have been three papers produced: Aging is associated with a systemic length-associated transcriptome imbalance Age- or lifestyle-induced accumulation of genotoxicity is associated with a generalized shutdown of long gene transcription and Gene Size Matters: An Analysis of Gene Length in the Human Genome From these it is obvious to see that the genes that stop working are the longer ones. To me it is therefore obvious that if there is a shortage of nuclear Acetyl-CoA then it would mean that the probability of longer Genes being transcribed would be reduced to a greater extent than shorter ones.
